Created by Keyse Angelo, 28, Flauxy is more than accessories you dress your outfit up with. It is an attitude. It is a persona.

Keyse moved to the states when she was 6 and started creating jewelry out of anything she could find. Her parents, who worked as building attendants, provided her with jewelry that their employers no longer wanted. She was fascinated with taking things apart and rearranging them into something beautiful that was all her own. By the age of 13 Keyse had produced her very first, soon to be Flauxy, piece of jewelry complete with her dad's fishing wire and a safety pin for a clasp.

It wasn't too long before Keyse discovered bead stores and started interacting with people who made jewelry not only for a hobby but as a living. As a sophomore at Umass Amherst, where she was a Women's Studies Major, Keyse participated in her first craft fair. The success of her line was overwhelming and the creativity and request for pieces has not stopped since.

Keyse is inspired by music, fashion, weather, politics, location and her own personal whims and ideas. Flauxy is jewelry that is created with colors and materials that play well with each other. Each piece has a movement and durability to endure rough use by fabulously fancy people.
